Sora is OverDrive's digital reading application for K–12 schools. Students borrow and read ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from their school's digital collection for independent reading and assigned texts. Teachers and library staff curate available materials and support student access through school-managed accounts.
Collection access depends on school accounts and the titles available through the library. Librarians and technology staff coordinate borrower identity, while reading activity remains associated with the digital collection. The content license and borrower identity shape access to a title. Library and technical staff coordinate those sources as collections, users, and school memberships change.

Open titles in a web browser or the Sora mobile app, with downloads for offline use where available.
Student reading tools:
Use notes, highlights, defined words, reading statistics, and achievements.
Classroom reading:
Access teacher-assigned titles alongside independently borrowed books.
Library connections:
Add a participating public library where supported to expand reading choices.
