Leadership Styles
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-report questionnaire that categorizes individuals into 16 distinct personality types based on their psychological preferences. Developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers in the mid-20th century, the system is rooted in Carl Jung’s theory of psychological types.
The assessment evaluates four dichotomous dimensions, with each person assigned a preference in each category to form a unique four-letter code:
Extraversion (E) vs. Introversion (I): How you focus energy (outward toward people/action vs. inward toward thoughts/reflections).
Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N): How you perceive information (concrete facts and details vs. abstract patterns and possibilities).
Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F): How you make decisions (logical analysis and objectivity vs. personal values and harmony).
Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P): Your preferred lifestyle approach (structured and organized vs. flexible and open-ended).
