Overview

Overview

Edpuzzle is an interactive video lesson and formative-assessment platform. Teachers crop videos, add voice or text notes, embed questions, assign lessons, and inspect responses and viewing progress. Viewing progress and question responses relate to a particular video assignment. Teachers use that context to identify misconceptions and connect the activity with the next lesson or classroom discussion.

Features

Audience and instructional role

Grades / learners:

K–12 students learning from teacher-selected or teacher-created video

Primary users:

teachers, students, coaches, and media staff

Learning focus:

video comprehension, formative assessment, flipped learning, and paced instruction — an interactive video lesson and formative-assessment platform

How it supports learning

  • Teachers crop videos, add voice or text notes, embed questions, assign lessons, and inspect responses and viewing progress.
  • Teachers should connect use to explicit learning goals and inspect student work rather than rely on completion or engagement alone.

Implementation and instructional decisions

  • Video completion is not evidence of understanding; select accessible media, provide captions/transcripts, and use responses to adjust instruction.
  • Districts should confirm accessibility, language support, student-data practices, assignment workflow, reporting, and the continuing role of teacher judgment.
