CommonLit
Overview
- Overview
-
CommonLit is a nonprofit digital literacy platform offering a full curriculum and supplemental library. Teachers use text sets, units, paired texts, questions, discussion, writing, assessment, and accessibility supports for whole-class or targeted instruction.
Texts, questions, and writing tasks connect reading practice with broader literacy goals. Teachers preserve the assignment context when using student responses for grouping, feedback, or local grading. The adopted edition and implementation determine the available digital records. Curriculum teams and teachers coordinate materials, access, and the interpretation of locally assessed work.
