Basecamp logo
General Productivity

Product Details

Overview

Basecamp is a project-communication and work-coordination platform combining message boards, to-do lists, schedules, documents, files, check-ins, and group chat. Teams use a shared project space to keep decisions, assignments, deadlines, and reference material together.

Basecamp is intentionally simpler than a configurable enterprise project-management system. It can reduce email and fragmented project communication, but it belongs under Project and Work Management rather than a broad productivity category.

Workflow / Task Management

Product Details

Overview

Basecamp is a general project-collaboration platform that brings tasks, schedules, messages, files, decisions, and team communication into shared project spaces. District departments may use it for implementations, facilities initiatives, communications work, committees, and other projects involving multiple contributors.

The product reduces fragmented email and makes responsibilities visible, but it is not a compliance-review or transactional workflow engine. It belongs in Project and Work Management, with district rules for guest access, retention, confidential information, and account transitions.

BoardDocs
Board Management

Product Details

Overview

BoardDocs is a paperless meeting and governance platform built for school districts, community colleges, municipalities, and other public boards. It centralizes agenda preparation, board packets, meeting materials, minutes, votes, policies, and public access so board-services staff do not have to assemble, distribute, revise, and archive separate paper or PDF packets.

The product supports the full meeting cycle: staff submit and approve agenda items, board members securely review materials and make private notes, meeting staff record motions and votes, and the district publishes agendas, minutes, policies, and supporting documents for the community. BoardDocs remains supported by Diligent, although districts should confirm Diligent's current migration path, product packaging, and long-term platform roadmap when renewing or procuring it.

CALPADS logo
State and Federal Systems

Product Details

Overview
California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data Systems (CALPADS) is a data system used to maintain individual level data including student demographics, course data, discipline, assessments, staff assignments, and other data for state and federal reporting.

The California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) is used to maintain individual-level data including student demographics, course data, discipline, assessments, staff assignments, and other data for state and federal reporting.

The data collected as part of the Annual School Program Survey satisfies many of the District's local, state and federal reporting responsibilities, including the CALPADS data reporting mandates. In addition, the California Department of Education continues to consolidate many of its reporting requirements into CALPADS. CALPADS, however, is not a once-a-year reporting event, but rather a data collection system whereby information is reported throughout the school year. Thus, users can track students as they move from grade to grade, school to school, and as their program and demographic information changes. CALPADS requires three major data reporting submissions: Fall 1, Fall 2, and End-of-Year.
  •  Fall 1 data (student demographics, programs, grade levels, and school enrollment and exit) are certified in mid-December, but Fall 1 data are collected, verified, and reported to CALPADS throughout the school year. The certified data is a snapshot that captures all active enrollments on Count Day (first Wednesday in October). This certified snapshot is the basis for the school year’s official student enrollment, demographic and program information counts and rates.
  •  Fall 2 data (student course enrollments, teacher assignments and English Learner education services) are collected, verified, and reported to CALPADS, and certified in February. The certified Fall 2 data snapshot captures this information for students and certificated staff active on Count Day.
  • End-of-Year data (course completion for grades 7–12, CTE participation, program participation, student discipline, and CAHSEE waivers) are collected, verified, reported to CALPADS, and certified in July.
The data submitted to CALPADS are used for statistical, compliance, and funding purposes. The student enrollment data as of “count day” (the first Wednesday in October) provide the official number of students overall, and in each relevant subgroup (gender, ethnicity, race, educational program).  This information is also used to calculate graduation and dropout rates; and the number of English learners and reclassifications.  It is also used to determine funding for programs that serve migrant, gifted and talented, English learner, economically disadvantaged, foster, and homeless students, and the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) allocations. These data are used for audits, to assess program effectiveness, and to determine whether or not schools and the district have met state and federal achievement goals (API and NCLB’s AYP).  In addition, CALPADS provides student enrollment, demographic, and educational program data for the computer based Smarter Balanced testing program, and for the various paper and pencil testing programs (CAHSEE, CST, CELDT, and so on).

It gives communications and school staff structured tools for publishing news, calendars, alerts, directories, documents, and other public information without requiring routine web development.

Overview
CatapultEMS is an integrated K–12 emergency-management platform for preparedness, alerting, incident response, accountability, reunification, and anonymous reporting. The platform combines mass notification and digital panic buttons with emergency plans, drills, maps, two-way communication, student and staff rosters, guardian verification, and after-action records. Districts can connect CatapultEMS with selected SIS, SSO, public-address, camera, dispatch, and other safety systems, but should confirm the exact integrations and emergency-routing configuration in scope.
Certica (Now a part of Instructure) logo
Data Validation

Product Details

Overview
Instructure Elevate Data Quality, formerly Certify by Certica Solutions, is a K–12 data-validation platform that runs maintained business rules against student information and state-reporting data. It identifies missing, conflicting, illogical, or out-of-range records and delivers role-specific results to the district and school staff responsible for correcting them.
The platform turns data cleanup into a recurring operational process rather than a last-minute reporting exercise. Daily scorecards, notifications, rule explanations, trends, and state-specific libraries help districts prioritize errors, monitor progress, improve the reliability of funding and accountability submissions, and maintain confidence in information used for decisions. Current 2026 release notes confirm that Elevate Data Quality remains active.

CHATGPT / OPENAI
Artificial Intelligence Systems

Product Details

Overview

ChatGPT is OpenAI’s general-purpose generative AI assistant for conversation, writing, research, document review, data analysis, coding, image work, and other tasks involving text and files. Users can work through a request conversationally, provide reference materials, and refine the output over multiple exchanges rather than using a collection of separate single-purpose generators.

For education organizations, ChatGPT can support lesson and resource development, communication, tutoring and study workflows, research, administrative drafting, and analysis. Individual plans and institution-managed offerings differ substantially: schools evaluating it should distinguish consumer accounts from managed education or organizational workspaces, especially for identity management, data controls, sharing, and oversight.
