CatapultEMS is an integrated K–12 emergency-management platform for preparedness, alerting, incident response, accountability, reunification, and anonymous reporting. It gives staff one place to access emergency procedures, initiate alerts, communicate with response teams, account for people, and document actions.
Plans, staff responsibilities, and accountability information must make sense together during an incident. Safety leaders and technology teams coordinate how that information stays current before an emergency occurs. Operational readiness includes current people and locations as well as technology. District teams maintain procedures and practice so a notification leads to an understood response.

Emergency alerting and communication
- Initiates action alerts, caution alerts, panic notifications, and mass messages from web or mobile devices.
- Supports two-way communication, GPS information, phone and desktop takeover, and escalation or resolution workflows.
Plans, drills, and readiness
- Stores emergency plans, procedures, maps, checklists, contacts, and safety resources digitally.
- Schedules drills, documents completion, and provides reporting for preparedness and compliance review.
Accountability and response
- Imports student and staff rosters and supports real-time status checks during incidents.
- Shares situational information with designated administrators and first responders.
Reunification
- Tracks student accountability and verifies authorized guardians during controlled release.
- Provides real-time status information and communications for staff and families.
Anonymous reporting and integrations
- Accepts anonymous safety, bullying, or threat reports with confidential follow-up and incident tracking.
- Can connect to SIS, SSO, public-address, camera, panic-button, and dispatch technologies in supported configurations.
