G Suite for Education is the former name of Google Workspace for Education. Google renamed the no-cost G Suite for Education edition to Education Fundamentals in 2021; G Suite Enterprise for Education became Education Plus.
The education suite supports Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Classroom, and centralized administration for eligible schools and educational institutions. Features and access depend on the institution’s edition, configuration, and age-based settings.
Education Fundamentals is available at no cost to qualifying institutions. Paid education editions and add-ons provide additional teaching, security, analytics, and administrative capabilities. A recorded district connection identifies use of the education suite; it does not establish whether the district uses a free or paid edition.
