Edlink is a unified integration API for education technology companies. A vendor builds one connection to Edlink and can then exchange authorized data with many SIS, LMS, identity, and roster providers instead of developing and maintaining a separate connector for every platform used by schools.
The vendor-facing API connects to district-authorized sources and scopes. District and application teams still coordinate consent to share, field meaning, record matching, and handling of changes across connected products. A successful transfer can still carry a mismatched identity or an inappropriate field value. Source ownership and agreed receiving rules give the technical exchange its business meaning.
The work continues after the first successful exchange. A source correction, new school year, vendor update, or failed transfer can change what receiving applications know. Application owners and technical teams coordinate monitoring, exception review, and approved changes so that synchronized data continues to represent the intended students, staff, classes, and services.

- Can exchange courses, assignments, submissions, grades, and other LMS information where the provider exposes it.
- Supports bidirectional operations such as grade passback for compatible systems.
Standards and data controls
- Supports OneRoster, Ed-Fi, LTI, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, CSV, and SFTP approaches.
- Sharing rules can limit an application to the data required for its approved purpose.
