Naviance is PowerSchool's college, career, and life-readiness platform for middle and high schools. It gives students a structured place to identify interests and strengths, explore careers and postsecondary options, build plans, and manage the work required to move from high school into college, training, military service, or employment.
Student plans intersect with course histories, graduation requirements, and counseling activity. Counselors and registrars need a common understanding of which information reflects student intentions and which documents completed academic work. Counseling and data staff distinguish a planned milestone from verified completion. Reporting remains dependent on current academic information and the requirements applicable to that student.

Self-discovery and career exploration
- Uses interest, strength, and career assessments to help students connect personal preferences with possible occupations and pathways.
- Provides career profiles and labor-market information that students can save, compare, and revisit as their goals develop.
Postsecondary planning
- Supports research into colleges, training programs, military options, and other routes after graduation.
- Lets students build goals, task lists, resumes, and plans that connect current coursework with future requirements.
College application management
- Helps students and counselors organize applications, deadlines, transcripts, recommendations, and other required documents.
- Provides school-level workflows and visibility so counselors can identify students who need follow-up.
Counseling curriculum and reporting
- Allows districts to assign grade-level readiness lessons, surveys, and planning activities.
- Reports participation, completion, student interests, and postsecondary plans for counselors and administrators.
PowerSchool ecosystem
- Works with PowerSchool SIS and Schoology to share student context and reduce separate sign-ins and data-maintenance processes.
- Districts should verify the exact document-delivery, application, roster, and SSO connections included in their licensed configuration.
