PowerSchool SmartFind Express is a K–12 absence-management and substitute-placement system. Employees enter absences, administrators configure job and qualification rules, and the system contacts eligible substitutes so they can review and accept assignments without staff making every placement manually.
Placement decisions depend on the employee’s assignment, absence dates, substitute qualifications, and acceptance status. School offices and HR reconcile coverage while payroll handles the resulting employment activity.
