Follett Aspen SIS is a configurable K–12 student information system for registration, enrollment, scheduling, attendance, gradebook, transcripts, behavior, health, student support, special education, communication, portals, and regulatory reporting. District-defined fields, workflows, reports, and APIs allow agencies to adapt the platform to local requirements.
Local fields and configurable processes extend the shared student record. School and district teams coordinate those definitions so enrollment, classroom operations, connected applications, and required reports use consistent information. A stable student identifier provides continuity across years and schools. Enrollment and course dates determine which records belong to a particular roster, service, or reporting period.
For district data leaders, the system’s significance is the reach of its shared records. Changes to enrollment, identity, or program history can affect access, services, and reporting. Schools, program owners, and technology staff coordinate who approves changes, when they take effect, and how corrections reach receiving systems and reporting processes.
