Zearn
Overview
- Overview
-
Zearn Math is a nonprofit mathematics curriculum and digital learning platform. Teachers combine classroom lessons and student-paced digital activities with models, fluency, problem solving, and real-time support.
Classroom instruction and independent digital lessons provide complementary evidence. Teachers connect pacing and student work across both settings to decide when to revisit concepts or provide targeted support. The adopted edition and implementation determine the available digital records. Curriculum teams and teachers coordinate materials, access, and the interpretation of locally assessed work.

How it supports learning
- Teachers combine classroom lessons and student-paced digital activities with models, fluency, problem solving, and real-time support.
- Teachers should connect use to explicit learning goals and inspect student work rather than rely on completion or engagement alone.
Implementation and instructional decisions
- Clarify whether Zearn is the core curriculum, digital complement, acceleration support, or intervention; preserve grade-level access while providing just-in-time scaffolds.
- Districts should confirm accessibility, language support, student-data practices, assignment workflow, reporting, and the continuing role of teacher judgment.
