Parchment is a digital credential and records-management platform used by K–12 schools to receive, store, send, and track transcripts, diplomas, transfer records, recommendations, verifications, and other academic documents. Students and alumni can request credentials online, while district staff manage fulfillment and confirm delivery through Parchment's exchange network.
The service sits between the school’s maintained academic record and an authorized recipient. Registrars reconcile requests and document versions, while students track the delivery of their credentials.
