Understanding the Error: A SELA record effective on Census Date with ELAS Code = RFEP has been submitted for a student and the English Language Acquisition Status Start Date equals the Enrollment Start date for an SENR record where the Enrollment Status is either 10 (primary) or 30 (short-term) for the same Reporting LEA specified in the SELA record. The English Language Acquisition Status Start Date of the RFEP SELA record must at least be one day after the enrollment start date. Note: If a student is exited with Student Exit Reason Code = N470 (NoShowOther), the enrollment record is excluded from the validation. Things to check for in submission: Verify that the SELA record has been submitted for the correct student and dates are correct. Suggested Resolution: 1) Update or submit a SENR record so the Enrollment Start Date is before the RFEP ELAS Start Date; or 2) Update the SELA record so the RFEP ELAS Start Date is after the Enrollment Start Date.
