BizWorld.org - Teaching Entrepreneurship for Kids!

Product Details

Overview

BizWorld is a nonprofit provider of hands-on entrepreneurship, business, financial-literacy, STEAM, and durable-skills programs. Its classroom curricula ask students to form teams, develop products or app-based solutions, make financial and marketing decisions, pitch ideas, and operate simulated or real microbusinesses.

The programs build career awareness, initiative, teamwork, communication, and practical business skills, but they do not provide districtwide college planning, application management, academic pathway tracking, or counseling workflows. BizWorld therefore belongs more naturally with entrepreneurship, financial literacy, project-based curriculum, or career-connected learning.

Meet bulb

Product Details

Overview

bulb is a digital portfolio and multimedia content-creation platform for students, educators, and professionals. Students collect work, reflect on learning, document skills and experiences, build resumes, and publish selected evidence for teachers, families, colleges, internships, or employers through controlled sharing settings.

In schools, bulb can support formative assessment, student voice, project documentation, career portfolios, and the transition from coursework to a public-facing showcase. It integrates with common learning and access platforms, but it is not a complete college-and-career planning system because it does not replace career assessment, course planning, counselor tracking, or application-management tools.

The California College Guidance Initiative: Smoothing the Path to College and Career

Product Details

Overview

The California College Guidance Initiative manages CaliforniaColleges.edu, the State of California's official college and career planning platform. It gives public-school students in grades 6–12 no-cost tools to explore careers and colleges, build academic and postsecondary plans, and launch college and financial-aid applications with information from their school records.

For participating districts, the platform also functions as statewide postsecondary data infrastructure. Course and transcript information can be used to show students their progress toward graduation and A–G requirements and to support data exchange with the California Community Colleges, California State University, University of California, and California Student Aid Commission.

CoreLearningExchange

Product Details

Overview
Core Learning Exchange, now branded Core-LX, is a digital courseware platform focused on career and technical education for grades 6–14. It combines courses from multiple curriculum providers into configurable career pathways aligned with standards, industry credentials, and certification preparation.
The platform supports self-paced, instructor-led, and hybrid delivery with mastery tracking and LMS integration. Because Core-LX supplies the curriculum and connects to LMS products such as Canvas, Moodle, D2L, and Blackboard, its strongest catalog placement is College and Career Planning or Instruction/Curriculum rather than Learning Management.
Major Clarity Intro

Product Details

Overview

MajorClarity is a college and career readiness platform that links career discovery with academic plans and postsecondary action. Students complete career assessments and hands-on 'test-drive' activities, compare careers and education options, create multiyear course plans, track applications and transcripts, and document work-based learning and employability skills.

For districts, the product brings counseling, CTE, graduation planning, and readiness reporting into one environment. MajorClarity was acquired by Paper in 2023 and then moved to Edmentum in October 2025, where it is being combined with Edmentum's career curricula, certification preparation, and related secondary-school products.

Product Details

Overview
Methodize is an online test-preparation and financial-literacy platform from Method Learning. Its ACT and SAT courses use diagnostic tests, lessons, practice questions, quizzes, full-length exams, and progress reports to prepare students for college-admissions testing.
The built-in assessments guide test preparation and measure practice performance, but the product is not the official ACT or SAT and fits better under College and Career Planning or Instruction / Curriculum. Districts should align administration, accommodations, score interpretation, data access, and retention with the intended use of the assessment.

Prepare Students for Their Futures with Naviance by PowerSchool

Product Details

Overview

Naviance is PowerSchool's college, career, and life-readiness platform for middle and high schools. It gives students a structured place to identify interests and strengths, explore careers and postsecondary options, build plans, and manage the work required to move from high school into college, training, military service, or employment.

Counselors and administrators use Naviance to assign readiness activities, monitor student plans, coordinate college applications and supporting documents, and report on progress across schools. Its connection with PowerSchool SIS and Schoology can reduce duplicate data entry and place planning information alongside the district's broader student and learning records.

Demonstration Video: Parchment

Product Details

Overview

Parchment is a digital credential and records-management platform used by K–12 schools to receive, store, send, and track transcripts, diplomas, transfer records, recommendations, verifications, and other academic documents. Students and alumni can request credentials online, while district staff manage fulfillment and confirm delivery through Parchment's exchange network.

The product solves a narrower problem than a full college-and-career planning platform: it replaces paper, fax, email, and disconnected request workflows with secure digital records and tracked delivery to colleges, employers, agencies, and other schools. Parchment became part of Instructure in 2024 and now sits within a broader learning and lifelong-credential ecosystem.

Pathways Overview - Track Student Graduation Pathways

Product Details

Overview

Pathways from Education Advanced is a graduation, college, career, and military readiness tracking platform for secondary schools. It combines current SIS data with district and state requirements so counselors can audit credits, monitor graduation plans, track CTE and work-based learning, record readiness indicators, and identify students who need intervention.

The product is operationally focused: it replaces manual transcript audits and disconnected spreadsheets with a shared student worksheet, configurable reports, and a family portal. Regular SIS feeds keep grades, credits, GPA, courses, demographics, and test information current, while integrations with other Education Advanced products can connect readiness tracking with assessment and accountability work.

Scoir | Finding Your College Fit Starts Here

Product Details

Overview

Scoir is a college discovery, application, and admissions network connecting students, families, high-school counselors, community organizations, and colleges. For K–12 schools, it gives students tools to identify colleges, build a list, compare affordability and fit, plan application work, and submit documents while counselors manage caseloads, recommendations, transcripts, deadlines, and outcomes.

Scoir is strongest on the college side of college-and-career planning rather than career pathway development. Its shared network and integrations reduce duplicate work between school counseling offices, application services, and participating colleges, while district and school dashboards help staff see which students are progressing or need support.

Product Details

Overview

Spotlight Education's College and Career Readiness Guide was described as a personalized reporting service that combined SIS data, assessment results, and career-interest information into student-facing college and career guidance. Reports summarized graduation and A–G progress, possible college matches, career and wage information, nearby education programs, and recommended next steps.

The product was designed to make complex planning data easier for students and families to understand through visual, multilingual reports delivered by PDF, email, text, or a portal, with summary information for counselors. A current public product site could not be verified in this review, so this description preserves the catalog's historical product record rather than confirming present availability or support.

GIS Developer / Drone Pilot - Virtual Job Shadow

Product Details

Overview

Pathful has expanded beyond its original video library into a broader set of planning, employability, work-based learning, and program-management tools. Districts can use the platform to organize career-readiness activities, course and postsecondary plans, local opportunities, student artifacts, and compliance reporting while integrating SIS, rostering, and SSO services.
