Library World
Overview
- Overview

LibraryWorld is a hosted library automation service for school, academic, public, and special libraries. It provides cataloging, circulation, patron management, inventory, serials tracking, reports, and an online public access catalog without requiring the library to maintain local server software.
Catalog identifiers describe materials, while patron identifiers describe borrowers. Library staff maintain both relationships so circulation history remains useful when students change classes or schools. The patron record and the item record have separate maintenance needs. Library, SIS, and technology staff coordinate their relationship through school changes and annual rollover.
