Helios Ed is a K–12 workforce-management platform covering hiring, onboarding, employee records, positions, forms, approvals, electronic files, evaluations, credentials, mandated training, absences, substitutes, time, leave, and reporting. Districts can license the full hire-to-retire environment or selected modules.
A hire-to-retire environment connects personnel decisions with positions, time, training, and pay. District HR and business teams coordinate which modules maintain the authoritative record for each process. One employee can hold several assignments or change roles during a pay period. Position references and effective dates preserve the distinction between a planned change and the approved employment history.
Changes can affect pay, access, coverage, and workforce reporting on different schedules. HR, business, and technology teams coordinate approval and processing boundaries, including which system owns each fact. A complete understanding includes how corrections are reviewed and how an approved employment change reaches the services that depend on it.
