Districts use Creative Cloud for career-technical education, media production, communications, yearbooks, design, and creative coursework. Administrative deployment, identity, storage, licensing, collaboration, and device requirements vary by education plan.

Basecamp is a project-communication and work-coordination platform combining message boards, to-do lists, schedules, documents, files, check-ins, and group chat. Teams use a shared project space to keep decisions, assignments, deadlines, and reference material together.

Basecamp is intentionally simpler than a configurable enterprise project-management system. It can reduce email and fragmented project communication, but it belongs under Project and Work Management rather than a broad productivity category.

Canva for Education is a visual communication and content-creation platform for presentations, documents, graphics, videos, whiteboards, websites, social content, and classroom activities. Eligible K–12 educators and students receive education-oriented templates, collaboration, assignments, and administrative capabilities.

District staff use Canva for communications, instructional materials, branding, presentations, video, and accessible visual content. Rostering, SSO, LMS connections, shared brand resources, permissions, and team management can support district deployment.

Atlassian Confluence is a collaborative knowledge and documentation platform for creating, organizing, reviewing, and publishing team information. Districts can use spaces and pages for procedures, project documentation, meeting notes, technical knowledge, departmental resources, and internal guidance.

Permissions, templates, comments, version history, search, structured databases, and integrations help teams maintain shared institutional knowledge instead of scattering it across email and files. Its primary category should be Knowledge Management / Documentation rather than general productivity.

Google Workspace for Education is a cloud productivity and collaboration suite built around Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Meet, Chat, Classroom, and administrative services. Available applications, security features, storage, and AI capabilities vary by education edition and add-on.

Districts use the suite for communication, document creation, shared storage, classroom workflows, meetings, forms, and collaboration. The Admin console provides identity, access, application, security, reporting, and data-governance controls across staff and student accounts.

Microsoft 365 Education is a cloud productivity, communication, collaboration, identity, security, and device-management ecosystem for schools. Depending on licensing, it includes Office applications alongside Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Forms, Stream, Intune, Defender, and administrative services.

Districts use Microsoft 365 to create and store documents, communicate, hold meetings, manage shared sites, collaborate on files, and administer users and devices. Because it is an ecosystem rather than one application, the record should identify the district edition and major services deployed.

Microsoft Sway is a web-based authoring tool for creating responsive presentations, reports, newsletters, portfolios, tutorials, and story-style pages. Users combine text, images, video, embeds, and other content while Sway automatically adapts the layout for different screens.

Sway is useful for lightweight digital publishing and sharing but does not replace a full website platform, LMS, or conventional slide application. It is part of Microsoft 365 and fits best under Digital Content Creation / Presentation Tools.

Microsoft Teams is a communication and collaboration hub for chat, channels, meetings, calling, webinars, files, applications, and team workspaces. Schools use it for administrative collaboration, staff communication, virtual meetings, instruction, and coordinated work within Microsoft 365.

Teams connects conversations and meetings with SharePoint files, OneDrive, calendars, Office applications, Forms, Planner, and supported third-party apps. District administrators can apply identity, meeting, messaging, retention, compliance, and application policies.

Slack is a team communication platform organized around channels, direct messages, group conversations, huddles, files, search, and workflow automation. District departments may use it to coordinate projects, resolve operational issues, and maintain searchable conversations across distributed teams.

Apps, APIs, notifications, identity controls, retention policies, and enterprise administration connect Slack with other work systems. It is primarily an internal communication and collaboration product rather than a general office-productivity suite.

Microsoft Viva Engage, formerly Yammer, is an organization-wide community and employee-engagement platform within Microsoft 365. It supports communities, open conversations, announcements, questions, campaigns, events, leadership communication, knowledge sharing, and personalized activity feeds.

The Yammer brand has been retired, but the underlying product and customer networks continued as Viva Engage. Microsoft 365 identity, compliance, moderation, analytics, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint connections support governed internal communities.

Zoom Workplace is a communication and collaboration platform for video meetings, webinars, team chat, phone, rooms, whiteboards, scheduling, clips, and related workplace services. Districts use it for virtual instruction, staff meetings, professional learning, family events, interviews, and public presentations.

Education administration features support managed accounts, roles, authentication, meeting policies, reporting, recordings, captions, integrations, and privacy controls. Zoom is primarily a meeting and communications platform rather than a general productivity suite.
