ChromeOS Education Upgrade is a device-management license for education that enables schools to administer eligible ChromeOS devices through Google Admin. ChromeOS Education Upgrade supports centralized policy, deployment, and management functions for the school’s Chromebook fleet.
Management enrollment connects a Chromebook with district policy and organizational placement. IT staff coordinate device assignment, account relationships, and lifecycle changes as equipment moves between learners and schools. Configuration and assignment are related but different records. Device administrators coordinate those sources with identity and inventory owners when school or user circumstances change.
