Recommended correction path

Suggested resolution

Read the complete validation

Rule: If field 2.32 is populated, fields 2.31, 2.33, 2.34, and 2.35 must all be populated.

Severity: Fatal   Type: Input Validation

  • 2.31 Residential Address Line 1
  • 2.32 Residential Address Line 2
  • 2.33 Residential Address City
  • 2.34 Residential State/Province Code
  • 2.35 Residential ZIP Code

Do not move Line 2 into Line 1 blindly. First determine what the text represents. A unit such as APT 4B belongs with its street address; a full street address accidentally placed in Line 2 may require correcting the field mapping instead.

The residential-address completeness framework

Core Line 1Required once any address is supplied
Optional Line 2Secondary delivery information only
City + StateBoth required with Line 2
ZIPRequired with Line 2

Common causes

  • The entire street address was written into the SIS second-address line.
  • A spreadsheet column shift moved Line 1 into Line 2.
  • Line 1 was suppressed or trimmed while unit information remained.
  • The extract combined residential and mailing-address records.
  • A partial address update replaced rather than carried forward the complete effective-dated address.

Recommended correction path

  1. 1

    Inspect all five address fields

Do not correct Line 2 in isolation.

  2. 2

    Confirm SENR ownership

Verify the supporting enrollment is posted for the SINF effective period.

  3. 3

    Verify what Line 2 contains

Distinguish a unit/floor/building from a misplaced full street address or placeholder.

  4. 4

    Reconstruct the complete address

Populate Line 1, City, State/Province, and ZIP from authorized information—or remove unsupported Line 2.

  5. 5

    Repair source and mapping

Correct the SIS record, column order, carry-forward logic, or address-type join.

  6. 6

    Resubmit and audit

Confirm SINF0050 clears and search for other Line 2-only records.
