What CALPADS is rejecting

Summative testing window begins annually on February 1st; therefore, a student who took the initial on or after July 1st of same AY cannot be reclassified prior to that date.

Reclassification requires all applicable criteria. Confirm the statewide assessment criterion, teacher evaluation, parent/guardian opinion and consultation, comparison of basic skills, and the locally approved decision.

    Confirm initial EL date

    Review the SELA history and Initial ELPAC/Alternate ELPAC result.

    Verify Summative completion

    In TOMS, match SSID, assessment type, administration, all domains, completion, and official result.

    Verify all reclassification criteria

    Review the complete approved local documentation, not only the assessment score.

    Correct or hold RFEP

    If the required process has not occurred, withdraw the premature transaction and retain EL. Otherwise correct any proven date error.

    Reconcile systems and monitoring

    Confirm CALPADS, TOMS, SIS, services, testing rosters, and RFEP monitoring agree.
