Understanding Error: In the plan record effective on census date, the Degree of Support field must populated with either "ESN" or"MMSN" if all of the following conditions are met: 1) Disability Code 1 or Disability Code 2 includes any of the following values: 210, 260, 270, 280, 290, 300, 310, 320, 330. 2) The student is enrolled in grades TK or higher on census date at the same LEA on the plan record. 3) The student is eligible and participating on census date. 4) The education plan is IEP (100). The Degree of Support field is not required if both Disability Code 1 and Disability Code 2 contain any of the following codes: 200 (None), 220, 230, 240, 250, or 281. Suggested Resolution: 1) Verify that the Disability Code 1 and Disability Code 2 fields are populated correctly. If so, populate the Degree of Support field with either "MMSN" or "ESN." or 2) Verify that the student's grade level is TK-12. If student is an active SWD, update grade level. If student is an active SWD and in grade level AD, update grade level to 12.
