GERR0002: Value Not Found in Reference Set

The value provided for the field is not a valid value from the CALPADS Code Sets

Official CALPADS rule

Severity: Fatal   Type: Input Validation

Fields validated:

  • 26.01 Record Type Code
  • 26.04 Reporting LEA
  • 26.06 SSID
  • 26.07 Local Student ID
  • 26.08 LEA Education Program Code

Recommended correction path

  1. 1

Confirm the program is in scope

Determine whether participation is tied to ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, or ASSETS and whether the LEA received applicable funding.

  2. 2

    Validate the complete state fields

Check 26.08 LEA Education Program Code and 26.09 Expanded Learning Program Days against the current code set, definitions, and effective dates.

  3. 3

    Review the local crosswalk

Map local program and vendor values to code 194 only when the source evidence meets the CALPADS definition.

  4. 4

    Correct the authoritative mapping

Update the source or translation table and document the effective date; do not relabel unrelated activities merely to clear an error.

  5. 5

    Scan the full population

Regenerate LEAP, verify accepted records, and examine all students produced by the same local program code or rule.

Before closing the ticket

  • Reconcile CALPADS Reports 19.1 and 19.2 with signed registrations and distinct participation dates.
  • Document whether the defect arose in enrollment, identity matching, program coding, attendance capture, deduplication, or extract logic.
  • Check every student affected by the same system rule before EOY 1 certification.

Official references and practical support

Expanded-learning, SIS, and extract support

LEAP may combine data from registration forms, program-attendance platforms, SIS enrollment and identity records, spreadsheets, and CALPADS extracts. Ask the responsible vendors how they identify a registered student, deduplicate attendance by calendar date, match SSIDs, retain audit evidence, and generate Fields 26.01–26.09. Access may require a customer account.
