Keep three different facts separate
Concrete diagnostic checks
- Distinguish a missing required value from a missing column.
- Verify the student identity, Reporting LEA, academic year, and program code from authoritative sources.
- Do not invent a placeholder identifier or copy another student’s value.
Recommended correction path
- 1
Preserve the rejected evidence
Record the submission ID, row number, exact nine-field row, source file, export time, and rejected value before changing anything.
- 2
Confirm the intended student, LEA, and year
Match SSID and Local Student ID, confirm Reporting LEA, and place enrollment and participation inside the correct academic year.
- 3
Trace the expanded-learning evidence
Connect signed registration, eligible program, dated attendance, source vendor, and any deduplication or aggregation process.
- 4
Apply the rule-specific checks
Distinguish a missing required value from a missing column. Verify the student identity, Reporting LEA, academic year, and program code from authoritative sources. Do not invent a placeholder identifier or copy another student’s value.
- 5
Correct the owning source
Populate the verified required value in the owning system, regenerate LEAP, and check the full population for the same blank-producing rule.
- 6
Regenerate, resubmit, and reconcile
Confirm acceptance, then reconcile CALPADS Reports 19.1 and 19.2 with the registration roster and distinct-date evidence. Check every record affected by the same system rule.
