Recommended correction path

  1. 1

    Establish the enrolled roster

Start with students whose signed expanded-learning registration forms are on file, then verify the correct SSID and Reporting LEA.

  2. 2

    Assemble daily participation

Combine eligible ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and ASSETS attendance for the academic year. Preserve source dates, program, site, and vendor identifiers.

  3. 3

    Count distinct dates once

For each student, count a date once when any participation occurred, regardless of minutes attended or multiple eligible sessions on that date.

  4. 4

    Investigate decimals and outliers

A decimal indicates the source is measuring something other than distinct days. Rebuild from dated attendance evidence; if applying official rounding instructions, document why a decimal existed and how the final integer was validated.

  5. 5

    Reconcile before certification

Confirm 0–300, post LEAP, and compare CALPADS Reports 19.1 and 19.2 with the registration roster and distinct-date calculation.

Dates are from the current CDE CALPADS 2026–27 calendar. Verify the official calendar before acting because dates can change.

Before closing the ticket

  • Confirm the corrected LEAP record under the intended student, Reporting LEA, and academic year.
  • Reconcile CALPADS Reports 19.1 and 19.2 with signed registrations and distinct participation dates.
  • Document whether the defect arose in enrollment, identity matching, program coding, attendance capture, deduplication, or extract logic.
  • Check every student affected by the same system rule before EOY 1 certification.

Expanded-learning, SIS, and extract support

LEAP may combine data from registration forms, program-attendance platforms, SIS enrollment and identity records, spreadsheets, and CALPADS extracts. Ask the responsible vendors how they identify a registered student, deduplicate attendance by calendar date, match SSIDs, retain audit evidence, and generate Fields 26.01–26.09.
