  • 26.09 Expanded Learning Program Days

Keep three different facts separate

Program enrollmentMaintain the required signed registration evidence for the expanded-learning program.
Eligible participationCombine eligible attendance sources and count each calendar date only once.
LEAP reportingSubmit code 194 and the annual distinct-day count for the correct student, LEA, and year.

Concrete diagnostic checks

  • A value such as 42 is structurally valid; 42.0, 42.5, 1,200, or “forty-two” is not.
  • Count each calendar date once even when the student attended multiple eligible sessions that day.
  • Do not convert hours into days; rebuild the count from dated attendance evidence.

Recommended correction path

  1. 1

    Preserve the rejected evidence

Record the submission ID, row number, exact nine-field row, source file, export time, and rejected value before changing anything.

  2. 2

Confirm the intended student, LEA, and year

Match SSID and Local Student ID, confirm Reporting LEA, and place enrollment and participation inside the correct academic year.

  3. 3

    Trace the expanded-learning evidence

Connect signed registration, eligible program, dated attendance, source vendor, and any deduplication or aggregation process.

  4. 4

    Apply the rule-specific checks

A value such as 42 is structurally valid; 42.0, 42.5, 1,200, or “forty-two” is not. Count each calendar date once even when the student attended multiple eligible sessions that day. Do not convert hours into days; rebuild the count from dated attendance evidence.

  5. 5

    Correct the owning source

Export an unformatted whole integer derived from distinct eligible attendance dates. Preserve the source calculation for audit review.

  6. 6

    Regenerate, resubmit, and reconcile

Confirm acceptance, then reconcile CALPADS Reports 19.1 and 19.2 with the registration roster and distinct-date evidence. Check every record affected by the same system rule.
