Keep three different facts separate

Program enrollmentMaintain the required signed registration evidence for the expanded-learning program.
Eligible participationCombine eligible attendance sources and count each calendar date only once.
LEAP reportingSubmit code 194 and the annual distinct-day count for the correct student, LEA, and year.

Concrete diagnostic checks

  • Compare all nine positions with the current CFS—not only the field named on the rejected row.
  • Look for padded identifiers, a four-digit year where an academic-year code is expected, decimals in participation days, and spreadsheet scientific notation.
  • Confirm the export did not add spaces, quotation marks, or hidden characters.

Recommended correction path

  1. 1

    Preserve the rejected evidence

Record the submission ID, row number, exact nine-field row, source file, export time, and rejected value before changing anything.

  2. 2

Confirm the intended student, LEA, and year

Match SSID and Local Student ID, confirm Reporting LEA, and place enrollment and participation inside the correct academic year.

  3. 3

    Trace the expanded-learning evidence

Connect signed registration, eligible program, dated attendance, source vendor, and any deduplication or aggregation process.

  4. 4

    Apply the rule-specific checks

Compare all nine positions with the current CFS—not only the field named on the rejected row. Look for padded identifiers, a four-digit year where an academic-year code is expected, decimals in participation days, and spreadsheet scientific notation. Confirm the export did not add spaces, quotation marks, or hidden characters.

  5. 5

    Correct the owning source

Correct the source value or extract definition, regenerate the row, and regression-test other records produced by the same mapping.

  6. 6

    Regenerate, resubmit, and reconcile

Confirm acceptance, then reconcile CALPADS Reports 19.1 and 19.2 with the registration roster and distinct-date evidence. Check every record affected by the same system rule.
