SmarteHR maintains personnel, positions, salary schedules, calendars, benefits, assignments, and related employee information, while SmarteFinance coordinates budgeting and accounting.Personnel assignments and salary schedules connect workforce planning with payroll and budgets. HR and finance staff coordinate effective dates, approved changes, and the positions against which costs are recorded. One employee can hold several assignments or change roles during a pay period. Position references and effective dates preserve the distinction between a planned change and the approved employment history.Changes can affect pay, access, coverage, and workforce reporting on different schedules. HR, business, and technology teams coordinate approval and processing boundaries, including which system owns each fact.
