Sophos School Protection applies education-focused policies and capabilities around Sophos Firewall. Supported configurations combine network threat prevention, user-aware filtering, application controls, reporting, and school-oriented access rules.
Network identity and policy connect an internet request with a security decision. IT teams coordinate filtering and threat controls with school access needs, investigating blocked services in their operational context. Security events need their account, device, and network context. IT staff coordinate policy changes with the services that depend on continued authorized connectivity.

Firewall and threat prevention
- Controls network traffic and blocks exploits, malware, risky applications, evasive traffic, and command-and-control activity.
Education web controls
- Provides user and group policies, CIPA-oriented categories, SafeSearch, YouTube restrictions, and keyword filtering.
Identity and visibility
- Integrates with directories and Chromebook authentication to provide user-aware policy and reporting.
Synchronized security
- Can exchange health and application context with Sophos Endpoint and central management when licensed.
