    Confirm the staff identity

    Compare the legal and alias names with authoritative HR and credential records.

    Inspect the paired fields

    Verify legal-name characters and ensure alias first and last names are populated together when required.

    Find hidden formatting

    Check smart punctuation, nonprinting characters, copied formatting, and extract substitutions.

    Correct the authoritative name

    Update the responsible HR or SIS record while preserving legitimate accents and approved punctuation.

    Regenerate and verify

    Post the corrected SDEM record and check other names produced by the same interface.
