What this error actually means

A correct assignment can fail if another LEA’s file is uploaded under the wrong account context. This is particularly easy when one operator supports several districts or charter schools.

   Preserve the rejected row

   Capture submission ID, row, Reporting LEA, School, Academic Year, masked SEID, Job Classification, FTE, and assignment-code positions.

   Confirm identity and organization

   Match accepted SDEM history, authorized HR evidence, official organization codes, and the actual assignment before editing.

   Test the exact rule

   • Read 8.04 from the rejected row.
   • Resolve the seven-digit code to the LEA name.
   • Verify file, environment, and account context.
   • Check current roles and organizational access.

   Find the first divergence

   Trace HR, position control, SIS scheduling, code crosswalks, joins, spreadsheet handling, file generation, and upload context.

   Make the supported correction

   Use an authorized account for the true Reporting LEA or correct an inaccurate source code.

   Regenerate and reconcile

   Confirm acceptance, review Reports 4.4 and 4.5, reconcile CRSE dependencies, and audit other staff produced by the same mapping.
