Group the Course Section records by all three of these values:

  • Academic Year ID
  • School of Course Delivery
  • Class ID

If one record in that group has a Multiple Teacher Code, every record in the group for a different SEID must also have the Multiple Teacher Code populated.

    Preserve the failed snapshot evidence

    Save the Fall 2 revision, Academic Year ID, School of Course Delivery, Class ID, SEIDs, Multiple Teacher Codes, and the corresponding Course Section detail before changing source data.

    Find every CRSE record with the same Academic Year ID, School of Course Delivery, and Class ID. Include all distinct SEIDs, not only the record named in the certification error.

    Verify the class structure

    Compare the CALPADS rows with the authoritative master schedule, teacher-of-record assignments, bell schedule, and local class identifiers. Determine whether the records represent one class with multiple teachers or separate classes.

    Verify each teacher assignment

    Confirm the SEID, assignment dates, course, section, and teacher role for every person associated with the class. Do not create a companion teacher row unless the assignment is supported by the source schedule.

    Correct the supported field or record set

    If the rows describe one class, populate the appropriate Multiple Teacher Code consistently on all applicable records. If they describe separate classes, correct the Class ID. If a teacher row or designation is unsupported, correct the source assignment instead.

    Correct any SIS scheduling, staff crosswalk, SEID mapping, or extract rule that populated the Multiple Teacher Code on only part of the class group or reused one Class ID for distinct classes.
