What CALPADS is rejecting

Field must only contain Alphabetic letters, numbers, periods, hyphens apostrophes, forward slashes, spaces. Alphabetic characters with accents, tildes, or umlauts are allowed. Valid characters are based on the UTF-8 character set standards.

Character check

Inspect for smart punctuation, tabs, line breaks, emojis, control characters, ampersands, backslashes, and copied formatting. Do not remove legitimate accents merely because another invalid character exists.
