Recommended correction path

Save both sides of the join
Capture SASS year, Reporting LEA, school, SEID, assignment, and all staff demographic records located for that SEID.

Confirm staff identity
Have HR/credential staff verify the educator’s authoritative SEID and demographic identity.

Validate reporting ownership
Confirm which LEA is responsible for the demographic and assignment records and whether charter or shared-service arrangements affect reporting.

Test date coverage
Verify the demographic record exists and supports the staff member during the SASS academic year/reporting period.

Correct the supported source
Repair the HRIS identity, demographic submission, assignment SEID, Reporting LEA, or effective dates that are actually wrong.

Reprocess without duplication
Confirm SASS joins to one supported demographic identity and related CRSC records still use the correct SEID.
Before closing the correction
- The actual employee and SEID are confirmed.
- Staff demographic coverage overlaps the assignment period.
- Reporting LEA is correct.
- SASS, demographics, and CRSC reconcile.
