Overview

ImPACT Applications provides computerized neurocognitive and related assessment tools used as part of concussion management. Schools and their healthcare partners use baseline and post-injury testing to add objective measures of memory, attention, problem solving, balance, and other functions to a broader clinical evaluation.

A baseline or post-injury result belongs within a wider clinical assessment. Health and athletic staff coordinate authorized access and referral processes while qualified practitioners interpret the clinical evidence. Administration and interpretation depend on the instrument and qualified professional judgment. Results retain the rater, setting, and date when incorporated into a broader evaluation.

ImPACT Quick Test is a screening tool that can be administered on an iPad immediately following a suspected injury at the competition site, at the workplace, or at the point of care. ImPACT Quick Test was developed for professionals who make decisions on removal from activity: athletic trainers, physicians, neuropsychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists​.

In 2002, ImPACT Applications was born to improve concussion management practices worldwide. Now, it is an ecosystem of concussion management tools, training, and educational resources that are using technology to increase accessibility to concussion care.
