Hudl is a video, performance-analysis, and athlete-recruiting platform used by school athletic programs and teams. Coaches capture or upload practices and competitions, organize film, connect statistics to specific plays, create teaching clips and playlists, and share feedback with athletes; players can review their performance and build highlights for families or recruiters.
A clip’s player, event, and timestamp connect footage with performance analysis. Coaches manage the instructional and recruiting context while controlling which athlete material is shared beyond the team.

Video capture and organization
- Stores practice and game video in online and mobile team workspaces.
- Hudl Focus fixed and portable cameras can automatically capture, upload, and livestream events, reducing the need for a camera operator.
- Supports manual uploads and additional capture workflows when schools already use other camera systems.
Coaching analysis and feedback
- Lets coaches tag plays, add notes and drawings, build clips and playlists, and share teaching points with individuals or teams.
- Connects team and player statistics to video and provides visual reports through Analysis Data packages for supported sports.
- Offers sport-specific analysis and sideline tools whose availability depends on the selected subscription.
Athlete development and recruiting
- Gives athletes access to review film, receive coach feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Allows athletes and teams to create highlights and share video with families, colleges, and recruiters.
- Supports recruiting visibility through Hudl profiles and related Hudl recruiting products.
Streaming and fan engagement
- Streams events from Hudl Focus to Hudl TV, YouTube, or compatible broadcast workflows.
- Can provide a fan destination for livestreams, highlights, schedules, rosters, athlete profiles, and other program information.
- Offers digital ticketing and additional fan-engagement options in applicable high-school packages.
Department-wide deployment
- Can provide Hudl access across multiple school teams with a common collection of capture, analysis, sharing, and recruiting tools.
- Supports video exchange between participating Focus-equipped programs for applicable road and neutral-site events.
- Schools should confirm supported sports, camera installation and network requirements, storage, analysis turnaround, streaming rights, and optional-product costs before selecting a package.
