SDLA Flowchart: debug the reporting chain from the top

1 - Instructional reality and authoritative local sourcesConfirm the real course, staff, section, term, delivery model, and program context with the people responsible for those facts.
2 - SDEM identity prerequisiteEvery reported educator must have the correct accepted staff identity and employment history.
3 - SASS assignment prerequisiteConfirm the supported staff assignment at the applicable school and academic year before debugging CRSE repeatedly.
4 - CRSE course-section relationshipValidate the named fields, identifiers, code combinations, and local-to-state course mapping.
5 - SCSE and Fall 2 reviewConfirm student-section connections and reconcile course, staff-assignment, and program reports.

Recommended correction path

  1. 1

    Preserve every competing row

Export the duplicate detail and retain the source schedule records before deleting anything.

  2. 2

    Compare the CRSE identity

Place school, year, term, Course Section ID, Class ID, and SEID side by side.

  3. 3

    Confirm the intended record grain

Ask the master scheduler whether the rows are true separate teacher-section relationships or repeats.

  4. 4

    Clear staff dependencies

Confirm each intended SEID has accepted SDEM and SASS prerequisites.

  5. 5

    Correct the source logic

Remove the accidental duplicate or repair the identifier mapping without inventing artificial differences.

  6. 6

    Reprocess and inspect downstream

Confirm one supported CRSE relationship and reconcile student-section records.

Before closing the correction

  • Confirm the authoritative local source supports the corrected values.
  • Confirm accepted SDEM and SASS prerequisites for every reported educator.
  • Review CRSE acceptance and related SCSE, staff-assignment, and course reports.
  • Check other records produced by the same course-catalog or extract rule.
