Recommended correction path

  1. 1

    Preserve the current snapshot

Capture revision, school, year, identifiers, counts and relevant detail rows.

  2. 2

    Classify the discrepancy

Separate a true zero or legitimate exception from a missing, stale, duplicated, mis-keyed or out-of-period record.

  3. 3

    Trace all companion records

Compare shared identifiers, effective dates, Census Day status and the complete history—not only the last upload.

  4. 4

    Verify authoritative evidence

Use sis demographic history, sinf effective dates, senr and ssid identity. Record what was checked and who confirmed it.

  5. 5

    Apply only the supported correction

Restore truthful effective-dated history or correct the wrong enrollment/SSID; do not manufacture a Census Day row. Repair repeatable source mappings where applicable.

  6. 6

    Regenerate and reconcile

Wait for processing, rebuild the Fall 2 snapshot, confirm the error clears, and compare downstream counts and detail reports.

Retained official CALPADS guidance

Understanding the Error: Students must a SINF record that overlaps their enrollments where enrollment status = 10 (primary), 30 (short-term), and 50 (non-ADA). Suggested Resolution: Add a Student Information record corresponding to the student's SENR record enrollment during the report period. Ensure all SINF records overlapping with their enrollment records contain Ethnicity/Race data.
