Valid: 20260817 Invalid: 08/17/2026, 2026-08-17, 08172026.
Formatting and accuracy are separate. A perfectly formatted date may still belong to the wrong student, program, or event.
Recommended correction path
- 1
Identify the failing date column
Preserve the raw value and surrounding program key.
- 2
Verify the actual event
Birth Date comes from SINF-authoritative information; membership dates come from program records.
- 3
Convert to CCYYMMDD
Protect the eight-character value from spreadsheet locale conversion.
- 4
Check chronology
Start must not precede birth; End must not precede Start.
- 5
Repair and audit
Correct the export, resubmit, and review other date values.
