GERR0002: Value Not Found in Reference Set

A submitted SCTE value is not one of the values CALPADS currently accepts for that field.

Official CALPADS rule

Fields validated: 11.01 Record Type Code; 11.02 Transaction Type Code; 11.06 Academic Year ID; 11.12 Student Gender Code; 11.13 CTE Pathway Code; 11.14 CTE Pathway Completion Academic Year ID

Each validated field must use an exact value from the applicable current CALPADS reference set.

Recommended correction path

  1. 1

    Locate the rejected value

Match the error to the submitted row and identify which validated field contains the unrecognized value.

  2. 2

Compare with the current code sets

Use the current-year CDE code sets and SCTE layout. Check spelling, punctuation, leading zeros, field length, academic-year format, and code effective dates.

  3. 3

Validate program meaning with the right owner

Ask the CTE/pathway lead to confirm pathway identity and completion status; ask enrollment or CALPADS staff to confirm identity and academic-year values.

  4. 4

Repair the crosswalk or source value

Correct the SIS code, local-to-state mapping, extract rule, or student record. Do not substitute a valid code unless it accurately represents the student and program.

  5. 5

    Test broadly and verify

Regenerate a small extract, confirm the corrected value posts, then find other records using the same local value or mapping before certification.
