  4. Correct the owning system. Use the authorized local process; do not overwrite accurate program information merely to make the transaction post.
  5. Regenerate and verify. Confirm the accepted effective-dated PLAN record, review connected records, and check whether the same mapping affected other students.

For non-charter schools: To determine the DSEA, refer to the definition of DSEA: https://documentation.calpads.org/Glossary/CASEMIS/DSEA/
For charter schools: If the charter school is an individual member of a SELPA, then the DSEA must always be the charter school. If the charter school is not an individual member of a SELPA, then the DSEA is always the charter authorizer.
