1) Verify the student's age is correct in the CALPADS ODS by comparing the SIS student demographics birth date to CALPADS. If the birth date is incorrect, update the student demographics record with the correct birth date. The age is calculated as the difference between the Plan Effective Start Date and the most recent SINF Birth Date. 2) Ensure that the Plan Effective Start Date falls within the correct Reporting Period (July 1 – June 30). If the date falls outside this period, update it to match the required reporting range. 3) If the student’s age is either under 3 years or 6 years or older, verify that the Disability Category Code (Disability 1 Code) is correctly assigned based on the student’s age. If the student’s age does not align with the required age range, either adjust the Plan Effective Start Date to fall within an acceptable range or update the Disability Category Code to reflect the appropriate classification.
