Fields validated: LEAP Data
Recommended correction path
- 1
Preserve the orphan detail
Save LEAP student, Reporting LEA, school, Academic Year ID, program data, and the student’s full SENR history.
- 2
Confirm the student identity
Verify SSID and local identifiers against the authorized participant roster and enrollment record.
- 3
Confirm Reporting LEA ownership
Determine which LEA actually enrolled and served the student during the program period.
- 4
Reconstruct enrollment chronology
Check SENR school, start and exit dates, enrollment status, and Reporting LEA for overlap with the academic year and supported LEAP participation.
- 5
Correct the supported side
Submit or repair SENR only when a real enrollment is missing; correct LEAP identity, LEA, school, or year when the program record is mis-keyed.
- 6
Remove an unsupported orphan
If the student was not enrolled in the Reporting LEA or did not participate, remove the LEAP record through the authoritative program source.
- 7
Reprocess and reconcile
Confirm every retained LEAP row joins to SENR and to the approved participant roster.
Before closing the correction
- Student identity and Reporting LEA are correct.
- SENR reflects a real enrollment overlapping the academic year.
- LEAP reflects documented participation.
- Unsupported orphan records are removed rather than patched.
