Required distinctions and controls

  • Use the applicable CDE form and instructions; COE-specific forms differ. Recheck for new forms when preparing the 2027–28 package.
  • Reconcile funding, planned expenditures and prior-year information to the correct fiscal years and underlying action tables.
  • Include the adopted BOP at the front of the public LCAP package and in the entity-specific submission. Preserve the existing 2026 record separately.

  1. Identify the current form and fiscal-year definitions.
  2. Reconcile each figure to fiscal records and the LCAP action tables with a second reviewer.
  3. Resolve discrepancies before assembling the governing packet.
  4. Adopt with the LCAP on or before July 1.
  5. Attach as the cover, transmit and post the adopted version and retain reconciliation support.
