DataQuest

DataQuest is the California Department of Education's public reporting system for information about schools and districts. Users select reports by topic, year, and organization to examine enrollment, student groups, staffing, outcomes, and other available measures. District leaders use it for comparisons, planning, and public reporting.
A published measure needs its reporting year, population, and organization to remain meaningful. District analysts compare these public results with local records while allowing for publication timing and definitions. Published aggregates describe a defined population and time period. Data leaders retain those definitions when comparing results with current local operational records.
