Overview

SEIS is a California special education information system that centralizes IEP development, student records, compliance checks, service information, and required reporting for participating districts and SELPAs. Team members work from shared student records and forms, reducing repeated data entry and preserving historical plans.

The system helps educators complete compliant documents while administrators monitor timelines, data quality, caseloads, and program activity. Its statewide footprint also supports record transfer among participating agencies, but districts must still govern SIS synchronization, CALPADS responsibilities, user access, parent records, and archival practices.
