Epicor ECM, formerly DocStar ECM, is a document-management and process-automation platform for capturing, storing, finding, securing, and routing business records. It is commonly used with finance and ERP processes, but can also support contracts, personnel files, purchasing, and other district content that needs controlled access and an audit trail.
An invoice or agreement needs its vendor, transaction reference, and approval history to support business-office work. Those links let staff trace a financial entry back to its documentation. A repository supplies access to supporting content. Consistent metadata and record ownership preserve the connection to the underlying student, employee, case, or business activity.
