My class roster is duplicated

My Learning Management System (LMS) shows two copies of the same class. Which one should I use?

Quick Fix

Work through these checks in order.

  1. Compare both course recordsCompare course identifiers, section numbers, terms, roster counts, and recent student activity.
  2. Pause new assignmentsStop assigning new work until the official rostered course is identified.
  3. Ask LMS support to preserve the workAsk LMS support whether the duplicate can be archived or merged without losing submissions or grades.

Keep in mind: Do not delete either course until ownership and record retention are confirmed.
