SDLA Quick Fix · Flocabulary

A Flocabulary Class or Assignment Is Not Syncing

Identify the district's authoritative roster method, compare the source and Flocabulary records, and avoid creating duplicate classes while a sync is investigated.

My Flocabulary class, students, or assignment does not match Google Classroom, ClassLink, or our learning platform.

Quick Fix

First, do not create another class. A second import or manually recreated class can split students, assignments, and results across multiple records. Identify the existing source before making changes.

Follow these steps in order.

  1. Identify the authoritative system

Ask whether this class is managed through Google Classroom, ClassLink, an LMS launch, a Flocabulary class code, or another district process. Use only the method designated for your school.

  2. Compare the exact records

Record the source class name, teacher, term, section, affected students, and assignment title. Then compare those details with the existing Flocabulary class rather than comparing names alone.

  3. Check the teacher's school identity

Confirm that the teacher imported or launched the class while signed in with the correct school Google, Microsoft, ClassLink, or LMS identity. Close personal-account sessions before retrying an approved sync.

  4. Run only the approved refresh

If local instructions provide a roster refresh or re-import control, run it once and record the time. Do not delete classes, remove students, or repeat imports while results are being investigated.

  5. Escalate the mismatch

If the source roster is correct but Flocabulary remains different, ask the local integration administrator to review roster sharing, account matching, sync status, and any duplicate class or user records.

Copy-and-paste message for integration support

Flocabulary class [class name] does not match [Google Classroom/ClassLink/LMS/other source]. The authoritative source shows [expected students or assignment], while Flocabulary shows [actual result]. The teacher used school account [school email or identifier], and the approved refresh was run once at [time] with result [result]. No class or account was deleted or recreated. Please review roster sharing, account matching, sync status, and possible duplicate records.

Stop and escalate when

You see duplicate classes or students, the wrong school identity owns the class, completed work appears under another record, or the authoritative roster is correct but Flocabulary does not update. Preserve the existing records for investigation.
