A PLAN record with Special Education Program Setting Code (23.20) equal to 201 must include the Ten or More Weekly Hours in Setting Indicator (23.22).

How to review the record

  1. Identify the effective plan

    Match the student and Special Education Plan Effective Start Date (23.12). Confirm the program setting in 23.20 against the plan in effect for that record.

  2. Check hours in the program

    Use the child’s weekly enrollment schedule in the regular early childhood program or kindergarten. Enter Y in 23.22 for 10 or more hours per week and N for fewer than 10. Special education service minutes alone cannot establish the child’s total hours in the program.

  3. Submit the supported indicator

    If hours are unknown, obtain the schedule from the program before coding 23.22. Correct the source or export mapping, regenerate the PLAN row and confirm the upload clears PLAN0388.
