Recommended correction path
- 1
Save the student’s complete SENR history
Include the flagged segment, surrounding segments, school calendar, and source enrollment audit trail.
- 2
Confirm the underlying change
Verify whether grade level, Student School Transfer Code, District of Geographic Residence, or another currently permitted E150 use actually changed.
- 3
Validate the E150 date
Confirm the exit date reflects the supported transition and does not create a gap, overlap, or false withdrawal.
- 4
Create or repair the successor only from evidence
When E150 is correct, submit the next supported enrollment segment at the same school with the changed value and correct start date.
- 5
Correct an unsupported E150
When the student actually left or another event occurred, replace E150 with the documented exit reason and update related chronology as needed.
- 6
Reprocess the full history
Verify the fatal error clears and the student’s enrollment, attendance, and downstream reporting remain coherent.
Before closing the correction
- The actual change or exit event is documented.
- E150 is used only when supported.
- A supported successor begins without an artificial gap.
- The full SENR chronology and downstream reports reconcile.
